North Carolina gets chilly, but not cold as some places in America. Unless you go west into the mountains, this mustang i have seen in rallycross. It is loud and black.
302 powered.this is a cool video from far eastern russia, where cold takes on a whole new meaning .minus 50 degrees centigrade.

Don't you dare buy a boat with an inboard motor.

So, it's official?

Les Davis: Florida's official gentlemen's club inspector.

Not official official, but semi-official. :D I have to find a place to live first, I'm currently under contract on this house, hopefully everything works out and we can close in a reasonable time, short sells are a PIA.

Where do I submit my resume for this inspector job?

Better get busy when you get down there. According to the Wise Old Man website ther are apporx 180 gentlemen's clubs in Florida.

I hate them. They're a pain in the ass to maintain and unless you use it every week the salt water will eat them up. Trust me they suck.

Not if you're using it in salt water.

I think 100 of them are in the greater Tampa Bay Area.

Does a boat like this not use a stand-alone cooling system, it actually uses the saltwater for engine circulation? No way to hook it up and to a garden hose and flush it out after each use? There has to be a way to make them work, there are a brazillion of them out there, I mean every boat above a certain size has an inboard motor right?

Yes they use saltwater for cooling. You can get a QD to flush the engine with a freshwater hose and you should do so after almost every use.

You can buy and convert it to a closed loop cooling for the motor, but not for the headers as I understand. Friend of mine has an inboard motor boat and converted it years ago to fresh water w/ coolant.

Best wisdom regarding boats:

(1) The best boat to use is the one your friend owns.

(2) The second best day of a man's life is when he buys his boat. The best day of his life is when he sells it.

(3) Boat (n): a moveable hole in the water into which money is continuously thrown.

Les should be used to #3 given his recent adventures with the BananaBeast  . But, I have to say that cruising in the sound at sunset is one of life's better pleasures.

Les,
I grew up in Florida, on the water, and much of it in Tampa Bay. It’s a great area for boating. I also have many fond memories of sitting in boat ramp traffic jams. The police directed the trailered boats to the ramp. At low tide, the ramp was so slippery that you’d fall on your ass. A lot of trucks had hitches on the front so that they could back out of the ramp. It was very common for the boat to push the truck up the ramp until it gained traction. I have even seen two trucks slide into the water launching a boat. When I wasn’t boating, I used to go to the ramp to watch the circus. There are lots of restaurants and bars that you can get to by boat, but I never saw a strip club in the ICW. The porpoises have fun bumping and playing around the boat. Just to make you think, some areas of Florida have speed limits for boats and cops with speed guns. Waking a boat ramp used to be a $50 fine. It’s probably gone up. My favorite place is Egmont Key at the entrance to Tampa bay. There’s a calm spot on the bay side to moor the boat, a fortress, and a nice beach on the other side. My uncle was stationed there during WWI. BTW, stay away from inboards, I spent years fixing one constantly due to salt. Salt water out boards are the way to go. Four years of Mercurser cost me a lot more than 15 years of Ocean Pro. Enjoy Florida
