Perusing the Solo section of the October FasTrack I noticed the SEB has the Scion iQ in STF. 94 hp, 89 tq, 78" wheelbase, 2100 lbs...strut front, torsion beam rear...175/60 r16s. Interesting. I bet with a little effort the car can drop under 2000 lbs. And run R1Rs
Had me thinking that this may be Civic-like specs. But then I saw the only trans option was the CVT, I assume from a Prius maybe? Anyway, would a CVT be a bust for autocross? I keep thinking about the FMod snowmobiles that have CVT and they are pretty quick, but my knowledge of that Toyota trans is....well, zero.
Anyone have some learning they can share?
