What a gem! Nothing like a 70s Japanese dirt bike -- they are sooo much fun to work on with screw heads made out of that "special" material my impact driver came to know and love.

Ok, since I'm on a roll, check out this link (local, here in Raleigh) -- you buy the CR500 and I'll buy the RM500:

Thanks,

Maybe you could trash-talk Liz into going this weekend and running in STU. She's not real interested in going to NCCAR right now.

Or I could run STU with you in my rallyx wagon, if you'd like. I'll spot you 100hp.

Your rallyxwagon isn't that far off given you've probably got a 2.5 170HP engine in it by now, and the M3 is only 230, giving them similar power/weight ratios.

Challenge accepted.

Your M3 has a lot more torque (LOTS more), a clutch based LSD, right wheel drive and better gearing than the wagon :).

Still 2.2L 140hp - haven't had a chance to do the swap yet.

But the Subaru has 4 wheels laying down power, and the M3 only has two. Four is better than two, right?

Is NCCAR doomed to always become rain events? :?:

Yes. How else can the weather forecast for Sunday go from ZERO chance of rain on Wednesday, to 20% on Saturday and 100% on Sunday morning?

Only in meterology can one be chronically wrong and still have a job.

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. I was up at NCCAR on Friday, and Simon and I were talking about the upcoming THSCC autocross, and he said how nice it was that *finally* after two prior soaking THSCC autox events there was going to be great weather for the autocross on Sunday. :( I'm glad I couldn't make the event today -- stupid weather. On Friday it was sunny and hot all day, and I sure got my fill of the track with over 4hrs straight of either driving or instructing.

I should have placed a wager on this one. :sing:

What a great course for that site! While it was wet I still had a blast. The new instant results thingy was the bomb. New car felt great even on stock springs/shocks. It desperately needs some negative camber up front.

We hope to have results posted soon, it may take just a tad longer than usual though due to some times needing to be fixed and some other things.

No kidding on the conditions. :(

Fun 50+ second course though, and it was still a fun time.

It was def testament to use patience in the rain with the big slicks on the car. Fun course would love to have the same one in the DRY, not sure it could be at NCCAR though.

Yeah. I actually woke up for this one. Packed Laura's car and made my way to NCCAR. Got about 1/10th of a mile down Fayetteville Rd and the reality of how hard it was raining in Durham (In a storm that was heading east) set in and I just turned around and went back to sleep. I would have loved to take a shot at Rob in the same car but it'll have to wait for another closer, dryer event.
