:whoknows: We ran at the same time. I saw you and Jackie while we were running but that was it.

I drove like crap but I really enjoyed the course. What did you guys think?

We liked the course a lot. Really nice to have a fast course again for a change. I had a great run going on my 4th, really nailed that offset slalom coming back toward the finish...enough so that I overcooked the right turn at the end of it (not thinking ahead properly, too excited about the great slalom experience). Sigh... Jackie had a great run but had a cone call that I didn't see (watched her whole run) and she didn't see/hear/feel. I think we really needed that 5th run we didn't get. :D

Also Marcus, I've not yet gotten used to you in an S2000 -- in my aging and decrepit state I still think of you in the E36 M3. :?

I was talking about that thing today. That was an awesome car.

Kate suggested that I change the position of my camera. Here is the result. My best run till I screwed it up.

I'll be interested to see the final results. The timer/display/printout was acting up in third heat so I'm not sure I trust the times on the display. However...if the time was accurate, I was only a tenth off of Eric's best time. Of course, it is likely I had cones on all of my runs so....you know....shoulda, coulda, woulda.

The real excitement was on the ride home where Jennifer pulled an amazing maneuver in the truck, towing the Lotus, putting the anti-lock brakes to the test (thank God they passed!) and missing being part of an eight (?) car pile-up on 85N. Seriously - INCHES. We missed it by INCHES. Scary stuff. All that looking ahead practice paid off. Sadly, there was a casualty - one of the trailer wheels did not survive. And it wasn't discovered until the crew was in Havelock. This will make for an interesting ride home!!

There was an exceptionally large number no driving idiots on 85 yesterday. Seemed like every 15 miles there was someone wrecked on the side of the road.
