you're welcome to drive the mustang, but it will suck to you considering all that HP you're used to.

For some mysterious reason Vincent refuses to autocross his Mustang.

Well, I have to say I had a great time at the NCAC even if we didn't bring home the cup. Great driving by everyone. NCR set up a very nice course and and Cherry point is an impressive site. Maybe that's something we need to work on for next year for one of our events or even a co event w/ NCR.

I also realized too late that I under drove the car. On my last run on Sunday I had one of the Marines in the car decided to get a little aggressive to induce some oversteer on the mustang. Didn't work so well on the clockwise sweeper, hopped the crown and pushed WAY out into the marbles, but coming back down the home stretch, I was shocked at how well that car stuck on that payment. Too little too late for me, but now I'm impressed w/ the grip level of that site.

great event! Noah finally met his inner alien. Well done, and well-earned!

edit: Mad props to Matt, James Milko, Jordan, Zach, Rodney and Mike Miller for their performances.

I will add MCAS to next year's schedule. For me, it was 5-10 minutes longer drive than ZMax, but a much better surface.

Speaking of surface at MCAS it was VERY sandy when I was there. Is that normal? Slicks (or at least the old ones I had that day) do not like sand on the surface.

ZMax did not have sand.

Thanks!

It was incredibly sandy. Going offline usually meant a spin or at least some excitement.

The unsealed portion of the runway definitely gave off more and more grit as the weekend went on.

Benefits of working at worker station in B group: Knowing that there is a bump.

Good site, decently run event. Would go to Five Guys again.

e: Math time~~

Doing some poor approximations, the space for NCAC was about 500 ft wide by 5000 ft long, or: 57.4 acres, 2.5 million sq ft, .09 sq miles, or 360 million sq inches.

For comparison, Danville is roughly 500 ft wide and 2000 ft long: 1 million sq ft. BUT BUT BUT Danville isn't 100% paved.

The only sandy spot I saw was at the entrance to the apex sweeper on Day 2, and was only in play if you drove offline.

Hint: Don't drive offline.

FWIW, the spins happened mainly with street tire cars, usually overcooking an entry to a slalom element or getting bumped at the apex of the course when going counterclockwise (Day 1). I doubt grit played into it, but you could ask Carlton. He got about 3 season's worth of spins in one event.

Mcas is almost twice as wide as Danville.

It was not so much sandy as gritty offline. This was a great site and because we don't have sites like this anymore, I found it was really a challenge to remember. I was half lost on my Saturday run, but I am blaming that on my 360 in the sweeper and my windshield filling up with Anti-freeze on the run back. :(

I have absolutely no excuses for not doing better. I coulda but I didn’t. I did however have a lot of fun. C Stock was tight on the first day for the first four places. I realized how much fun strong competition can be. Also, the ToySubies will be tough to beat, plenty of HP, gearing, and handling. It's enough to keep me in C Stock next year. Sand, I grew up in Florida, not a problem if you stay out of it. I did total a Datsun 510 when I hit some.
