Exactly. Mike, bring it to some autocross events with the plan of really enjoying learning throttle management and how it can help you position the car and control weight transfer so easily. You're in the best position to quickly ramp up that learning curve since you have great experience with all other aspects of car control. For those with no prior experience, it's too easy for them to depend too much on throttle action to generate rear wheel slip angle and fall back on that (slower way around a course) crutch too much when starting out with a high power car. You will really enjoy autocrossing that car -- perhaps hit up Les to co-drive it with you.

It is a blast to AX, but you will have to adjust your throttle management approach as you can't treat it like an on/off switch like you can in the Miata. (It was probably worse for me since I only have 110 hp to use LOL). The car handles like the Miata, it is well balanced but it is much bigger and the sight lines are different.

One other issue is getting the magnetics to stick on the car. :?

If you bring yours to the last event I'll bring mine.

Thanks for all of the responses. I’ll bring the vette to the October non points AutoX. It’ll be an experience; big car, small parking lot, and high horsepower. It’ll be a good time to burn up the Firestone Wide Ovals and get some experience.

Last call for NCAC if you're on the fence! Registration for drivers & spectators ends @ midnight.

Going to be epic! :woo:

October will indeed be points #8.

There is a November non points that will be TBD. Look for a poll coming shortly on it.

Forgot to post this here for those not following on FB, trailers/cars will be allowed left overnight Saturday at the site. However, we have a time we must be off and once the gate is locked, nobody back in until morning!

That's excellent news! Really didn't want to have to pack up the trailer twice....

Anyone have floor space in a hotel room I can use for my air mattress and sleeping bag?

Well, my STi's clutch rivets reached flywheel on the way home, and Liz never pre-registered (so there'll be no co-driving with her), so I'll probably be installing my new clutch and lightweight flywheel and shift linkage/bushings this weekend. Was looking forward to running at this site. Maybe next time...

Anyone potentially have a co-drive for me? I kinda lost track of time and never fixed my 2&3 miss from VIR. Hopefully I can sort it out in the next day or two but just in case I wouldn't mind having something lined up. Hell I'll even tow your car down there if you want.
