Here's my video. Despite the bumps, our konis absorbed those bumps really well because it didn't feel too bad to me:

My 2cents; I have been autocrossing regularly for over 30 years, and that is the bumpiest course I ever experienced! It was truly brutal in my (lowered) Fiero, it was on the bump stops 4-5 times each run. Maybe design around the worst places if we go back?

My exhaust was round prior to Saturday:

Like Neal, I was on the bumpstops. Great site, we should definitely go back, but we need to make note of where the worse bumps are.

Great event, thanks to those that make it happen!

It was a lot of fun taking the family truckster around the course. Grandstands, bathrooms, hot food, cold drinks, 6 runs... it was well worth it. Good thing I put new airbags in the rear suspension a few months back or the left rear might have bit it hard on the last 90 degree right hander.

The last right hander was definitely a problem. I bottomed out there 4 out of 5 runs. Other than that I didn't really notice it too much and my car is lowered and on small wheels too. Next time we will just have to figure out how to design around the bumps.

Here was my first run. Took me a few attempts at turning to get used to the grip.

I thought the course was a total blast - the elevation changes (and bumps/dips/transitions) made it way more interesting than our usual flat venues. Was pleasantly surprised that my injured ribs didn't seem too bothered by those big dips & final transition - the Motons on my RX-8 did their job really well.

Looks smooth to me. I noticed your camera does the same thing mine does with regard to sound, where engine noise is rather muted, but background noise seems to be amplified. What kind of camera do you have?

GoPro Heroes do weird stuff as far as sound. I just recently realized that the extra non-waterproof back faceplace is better for sound and seems to actually have less wind noise and more motor/tire noise. If you listen to any of Steve Carter's videos, it sounds great and his is usually right on the outside of the windshield but mine gets way more wind noise mounted behind the the seats away from the wind. Who knows? :cryin:

Love my GoPro. Just as Matt said, non-waterproof case mounted in middle of upper windshield. The newer HD2 one has an audio <in> for a remote mic, IIRC.

edit: a louder exhaust and K&N FIPK do wonders for engine noise

What exhaust did you get Steve?

I ordered the FIPK for Jeremy's car...getting tired of it sounding like a mini van :)

Sorry to mislead...I haven't bought a new exhaust yet. Mine does not have the resonator (prior owner removed it, I guess) so it does make a more aggressive tone than the full stock one. I haven't figured out which exhaust to buy, but leaning toward a 3" single header back with HFC, either Berk or custom...depends on how available funding is.
