I think I have a T K D (tae kwon do) testing comign up soon. I cant make it, go have fun though. It will be for my green belt this time. I have to spar some too, my favorite thing to do is spar. That and i dont like tight technical courses very much. Lastly. .. I got the whole rally cross thing going on, but you guys go tear it up for me man. dont let me down now.

Is there an official hotel for this event since I live the other side of the world from there?

Can I retract my apologies for missing this one? My wife suggested I go, since her party isn't until Sunday evening :sing: - Although she also suggested I'll have to work twice as hard on Sunday.

I just finished modifying my rear sway in an effort to reduce oversteer. I figure a long slot is better than a single hole.

Points #6, not #7. :)

We're at 42 now, still not great but a lot better than 20.

What will the run/work format be? I have not been to an event this year and it seems as though these have been in flux that last few seasons. A friend of mine wants to come out but needs to be back in Raleigh by 5pm. I'm just trying to figure out if he would be running/working the last heat.

Chris, unfortunately the run groups/format are determined once we know how many people are signed upon registration closing (lots of walkups can really skew things a bit). There's really no way to guarantee that we'll be done by 4:00 to get back in time.

So my friend has a new to him 350z. The only mod that puts him out of stock class is cold air intakes. On street tires he can run either STR (245mm wide tires) or BSP in the TIR subclass. Is that correct? He's not a novice, but I'm trying to help him figure out where he will get his a$$ kicked the least. :)

Cannot run ST* classes in TIR, as ST already accounts for street tires in its PAX.

Yes, I should have said STR or TIR(BSP)

Another great event! The lot was bumpy, but the course was great. I really enjoyed coming out of the sweeper at the bottom of the lot, timing the throttle and trying to stay on it all the way up pucker mountain. 6 runs is awesome!

Les, chime in and let us know how your back is.

I went to Thomasville to visit family after I left since I was so close and just recently got back to Raleigh. I think I'll be fine though today was the most painful afternoon I've had in weeks, enough so that I decided to take one of my few remaining Oxycodones when I got home, which I haven't taken in a month, feeling great now! :D

Could have been a fun course and wish I could have made my runs, but just felt it wasn't a good idea after that first run, it was unbelievably BRUTAL in my car, my suspension works great on smooth pavement, but REALLY doesn't like bumps. I need to finish out the rear suspension with Banski suspension arms like Wally has, I have half of them now and they made a big difference. He has all of them and his car didn't look like it was as bad as mine. Yes, replacing poly bushing suspension arms with heim jointed ones actually improves the ride in the weird ass rear suspension on the C4. Oh yeah, and putting my adjustable Carrera shocks on the car rather than the super stiff ass non-adjustable Bilsteins that are currently on the car would probably have helped as well.

Really though I need to put some springs/shocks/sways on the Miata and get spare set of wheels and race tires as well so that I can have it as an option at some of our new tighter lots.

I can see now why Les wanted to bail on his other runs. I had mentioned to some of you I had mounted my gopro under the car and aimed at the rear axle. Holy crap, that is some CRAZY stuff going underneath the car. I need to work on the video some and I'll post up ASAP. It's a eyeopener for all of the dynamics that going on underneath car even considering dampers, sway and springs.
