Thanks to everyone who put on the event. Great job, the course was fun and challenging. It was different and good to have a course that was more technical and not just outright speed. It will be interesting to see what can be done with the bigger lot.

I thought that Sunday's course was faster than Saturday, but it might have been due to the increased grip level

Thanks to all the novices who showed up and did a great job driving!!

This was a great event. Weather didn't cooperate too much but we made the best of it. Loved the course, even though I couldn't drive it for shit.

Let me shout out KUDOS to everyone!!!! Great event, great location, great people, great course and semi lousy weather. Driving the mustang in the wet was, well, a challenge to just keep it going in the direction I was hoping to go. Man, Sat driving was tough. Sun driving was a blast. 5 runs for a total of 11 for both days. Some of you guys set some blistering times. Try as I may, I couldn't keep up. That course while fun, just wasn't for a bigger car.

Thanks to all of our sponsors for stepping up and offer some great raffle items and allowing us to make some decent money to give to the Jimmy V despite the less than perfect attendance. Also thanks to Bowie and Les for setting up the "kitchen" and cooking up some great food to feed the masses.

We also talked to Ms. Blue, the Crown event manager, at the end of the day on Sunday and she said that we're MORE than welcome to return and run again. Maybe it was because Mary Johnson gave her a ride in the Mini and she had a blast  . I did find out that Ms Blue wrote a personal check to the Jimmy V for $100 and bought raffle tickets. That speaks volumes for how we ran the event and how people acted.

Thanks everyone for making this a fantastic event and supporting the Jimmy V!!

Great event. Thanks to all who secured the new site and setup the event!! Wish I could have made it back out for Sunday, but had a great time on Saturday, even in the rain. Sorry to the course workers for that +6  I'm blaming the rain and the fact that Kevin Allen encouraged me to try some handbrake usage. Again thanks to the all the helpers!

Great event! Really had a good time--thanks for the hard work in securing the site, set-up folks, GMs, Veeps etc. Glad the Crown peeps like us, too! I was surprised that I enjoyed running the same course 10 times...I thought I would be bored with it, but since it was so different (all sweepers, elevation change etc) I found it continually challenging. Would've enjoyed running it opposite direction as well.

So...we going back there in October?

We thought about that....the only problem is the finish couldn't be where the start was because of that curb.

totally understand, and it wasn't intended as a complaint....more about considering future layouts than anything else.

It was not boring and different because the grip levels between run group 1 and run group 2 Saturday and all day Sunday were different for some strange reason  It is amazing how much your times improve when you are not throwing sheets of water over your hood.

We will indeed go back in October. I've got my hands full now trying to make sure everything is in order for Piedmont given that its coming up so quickly, but I will post details on the October event as soon as I have them nailed down.

Right....that was a big concern about that lot though. The far ends of it and particularly the corners were tough to deal with. When we had such a hard time setting up that back corner, we briefly talked about going backwards, but then the finish came up and we didn't want to mess with rearranging that.

Fun weekend for sure and I'm glad everything went really well despite the thunderstorms. At least the rallycross cones are clean now considering there were probably 5 cones left on the bus since we had to line/wall a lot of stuff off to help the flow of the course and the exit.

The course setup was a bit of stumper with that corner the way it was (especially since we make the course based on the expectations of storms) heading down the slope and I think Judi, Stephen and I spend over an hour trying to get a slow section heading in there from the uphill crossover that wasn't too painful for the wider cars and it seemed like it worked out pretty good. BTW, nice driving in the bracket race to the people (Jordan, Rob & others at the end there) that were skimming across the puddles.

Kudos to Brice & Mary especially for knocking out the logistics to finalize the site with all the paperwork and rent. Also, to everyone that was involved in the cooking both days, it was great and raised some extra funds for the V Foundations.

It sounds like as a Club, we gave the management such a good impression that they'll be out to an event hopefully. I'm ready to go back and am psyched that we only have to wait two weeks 'til the next event at another new spot.

So who's got footage? I think that I saw about 47 GoPro's this weekend.

Forgot my gopro ;(....I really wish I had footage of nailing the perfect trail brake around the v-box only to floor it to avert the tank slap into the wall of cones to fly up the hill to the final turn before the finish.

I had a GoPro mounted in the car for the first time, I need to work on the placement since it doesn't have a zoom, I might try to mount it to the ceiling next time to try and get a better view out the windshield. Pardon the language at the end, I've already apologized to Belinda for it, in retrospect its actually pretty funny I've had a good laugh watching it.
