Great NCR event in Washington today....awesome site, great course, beautiful weather. The skydivers and parachutists were fun to watch as well!
Oh yeah, and 4-5 of the top 10 PAX and Raw were from THSCC. Booyah! (Ryan gets a pass since it was his first event of the season!)

Great driving by all the Tarheelers!More Tarheelers should make the trip to Warren Field--great concrete surface, sub 2 hours from Raleigh, and it gives good vibes to show up and interact with the other autoX clubs--even if we dominate (OK, a little bit of an exaggeration there.)

Oh yeah, and all of us PAX'ed (and raw'ed) in the top 10. Booyah! (Ryan gets a pass since it was his first event of the season!)

Yeah it was good to get out (finally) but I definitely had my pink dress on today (I was only .8 in PAX off Steven, 14th overall, cut me some slack here).

If you ever wondered what Laurinburg was like without gnats, fire ants and that lovely piss smell circa 1990 something, Warren Field is that place. Matt told me it took him 1:40mins to get to the site from downtown Raleigh.

6 runs and I was home before 4pm, #winning

That was a blast and really enjoyed the way we did 3 runs in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, even if it meant working twice in the heat, but that's part of the experience. I'd be up for split run groups again this year if the attendance were in the 70's or 80's and everyone didn't mind pulling a double work shift (& stop for lunch/rest) in order to get two three run heats behind the wheel to figure things out.

The site surface was great too and definitely reminiscent of Laurinburg's old side but in a little better shape. I'm not sure how the afternoon runs turned out to be much faster than the morning ones, but I'm guessing it's either because the line really got cleaned up or the Star Specs like the extra heat. It was fun seeing some 'Heelers out there and great driving in STR Steve! Thanks for sharing the RaceRender video. Very cool!

He literally MADE me ride with him. He bitch slaps a car like few others I have rode with. He absolutely hates his transmission. The car itself is also nothing that special. Its more proof that the nut behind the wheel makes a car fast.

I am apparently not that nutty

I was happy to be in the top 12 raw and top 20 pax as I just wasn't at the top pace yesterday :(

I'm gonna get my ass kicked this weekend now that I've missed all the practice at these other events, aren't I... :-P

Doubtful. But there is a slightly better chance that you will have to work for it this weekend. Matt was in the zone at the NCR event....
