And with regards to the cobalt, when he registered, he said he was in a "red cobalt with an intake", which is why I put him in STF. He neglected to mention that it was an SS (although b/c he had previously registered and was in the database, it pulled up his car properly, we just never caught it or really cared that much, we will correct it for future events.

Zach, you are technically top 10 in pax, don't worry ;).

Why would we disallow karts??? As long as there are no other cars on track, why turn away a SOLOII class and potential business.

IIRC, we decided to change that rule (8.2, I think) so that Keith and the Walshes could bring out their karts---a very good idea, BTW. I guess it just hasn't been updated on the site? :whoknows:

Nice run Brice  I was thinking I'd be close in PAX after hearing the times from the afternoon runs.

Maybe we can have a monsoon for the next event as well and that will give me another shot at it. On 2nd thought's I'd rather be back in the pack and dry.

Shawn

+1.

That's pretty awesome to have coverage on Forbes.com and those EV kids were troopers and some were even doing some deep water bogging at the pivot with all the standing water but they seemed to be having a blast. The Fiero and the MR2 were actually pretty darn quick too.

So, who's ready for Danville!?

We (the senior officers at the time) put that rule in place because:

a) we thought shifter carts were stupid

b) Didn't want to implement the SCCA rule (at the time, at least) that all other vehicular traffic on site had to stop while the kart were running.

c) Concern that kart drivers might be overrun/maimed by a herds of 6 year old girls chasing loose soccer balls from the soccer fields adjacent to our Rocky Mount site.

d) we thought shifter carts were stupid

so it had nothing to do with trying to remain exclusive and keeping those college tards that which build cart like things from driving up under the bus then Art?

speaking of Rocky Mount.......... i hear Randy stopped by to say hello at NCCAR. ...... and, well.................. as usual......

Yes, Randy stopped by and we asked him to announce times. But you know how shy he is.

ah, got it.

OK, who said that we're SCCA? We need to send Randy over to 'splain some things to him.

We were never asked about the club, it was all about the EV event this weekend, this was just a bonus video. I think that was just the camera guys interpretation of who we are.

Just in case people are wondering why the results are not posted yet. Carl and Emmie are out of the country and have limited internet access so they are unable to post the results until they are back home in about a week.
