Use purple for ultimate contrast (color wheel!!)

A cheap option is to use electrical tape to give it a nice, thick, black border.

Please don't just do a border, keep the mental health of your T&S staff and course workers in mind. A border is better than nothing, but solid contrasting numbers are MUCH easier to see from a distance and at angles.

well, I take your suggestion and spend another 20mins painting all numbers black. Now it should be perfect.

On another numbers/letters note, my fellow THSCC'ers are welcomed to make fun of me this season.

When I called SPS to order the "str" I asked what size and font my "gs" were from last year. They told me Euro in the 10" font. Bad call. The numbers were 10's but the G & S were 6 or 8". Soooo, I now have illegal class letters since they are identical in size to the digits, which should a percentage less. Until I stuck them on, I was worried the S2000 doors weren't long enough to have all five letters & numbers.

No protests allowed in STR this year, btw. j/k

Illegal? I just thought the numbers had to be > 8" tall and the letters had to be > 4" tall. Has that changed?

Makes sense though..

What?! I didn't see this rule on our webpage. http://www.thscc.com/autocross/info/numspecs.html

3.7 (e) references the SCCA Solo rules. Go to scca.com for more info. Our website references part of that rule, as 4" high letters are 50% as high as 8" numbers.
