I was wondering if anyone knew where I can find a cigarette lighter air compressor with a cigarette lighter powered electric impact. I might be losing my mind, but I swore I saw someone in Sanford last season using a 12v electric cigarette lighter socket powered impact that had a companion 12V cigarette lighter socket powered compressor. It came in a blue case.
Am I nuts?

COOL! I am getting that! I am going to sell my three prong plug in impact. It makes more sense for me to have that on hand opposed to the one I can only use in a garage.

X3, crap and stopped working after one autocross, save your $25 for a proper impact gun.

Steve, Marcus brought one of these bad boys over when we removed my Konis and it's pretty stout for $100.

IME, it depends on the lug nut torque. I had one and it would NOT remove lugs torqued to 100 ft-lbs.

Those Goodyears are hit or miss. If you get a good one, it lasts forever and unbolts anything. A bad one the battery wont hold a charge, nor remove lugs unless its fresh off the charge.

I got this

for $140 at a Sears outlet and have yet to find something it didn't laugh at.

Well.....forget that then! Thank you for the honesty everyone. I need the exercise anyway. I guess I will use arm power when breaking lug nuts at events and keep my plug in for the home garage. I torque to spec and grease the studs anyway.

<<<Had a bad one of the Goodyear guns. Worthless and frustrating for me. Better to carry a 1/2" torque wrench and a cordless drill.

Check out your local pawn shops for used Milwaukee, Makita, and Dewalt battery powered stuff. You might get lucky and get one at a decent price. They are worth it.

Yeah, I got a bad one of these too, worked okay for 6 months and now will not break a lug nut loose unless it fresh off the charger.

If all else fails, a breaker bar and speed handle work too . . .

Been there, done that.
