On a side note, sorry about the great porta location. I'm not sure if I can communicate the placement any better than the emailed photo below.

Now that I have a hitch on the racecar, I'll be sure to bring a tow rope if we go back to Lauringburg just in case.

I know we are not intending to post results, but I was curious if anyone recalls by how much Mary, Gwen and Jim whooped up on the rest of us? Any recollection of top 10 PAX?

It has come to my attention that someone or some thing didn't like the fact that I woke up late on Sunday, and decided to skip out on driving an hour and a half to Laurinburg to stand around in the rain for a couple of hours doing nothing (in between a few runs on the course I set up the previous day), then drive an hour and a half home.

I'd just like to share some info with you here. The previous time we were at Laurinburg, I set up the entire course by myself, then when the helpers showed up, WE scraped and chopped and swept the weeds and dirt off the course. I JOKINGLY gave them a little bit of shit about not showing up on time, but I didn't take it seriously. People have other things to do sometimes. Whatever. We got the job done. The following day, I chaired the event by myself. I really didn't do much, since the event chair really doesn't do much on the day of the event. I think I set up the timer or something.

I also volunteered last year to be a rallyx vp this year, since nobody else apparently wanted the job, and I didn't want us to stop having rallyxes. I have negotiated with sites, booked some of the events, and have agreed to use Wilson County Fairground's tractor and box blade to smooth out the site after our events there, in order to save THSCC some money.

I have also put in a LOT of time chairing events, driving the bus, and a whole lot of other random crap that I've helped out with in the past.

SO. If you're one of the people who called me a slacker for not showing up on Sunday, and you were actually being serious about it, I think you may have figured out by now what you can do with yourself, as far as I'm concerned.

Also...
Matt, sorry about the helmet thing - I thought you were joking around. I probably should've asked if you were being serious. Won't happen again.

Lol, so you post this passive aggressive temper tantrum a la a 10 year old talking about all the good you do (with a very childish, passive aggressive signature update)? Accept responsibility for your actions and quit being an entitled pussy.

Dang.

Let's leave it at this: regardless of how many events anyone's done, if you can't make it, just text or call. As far as the helmet thing let's all make sure we protect or noggins during course setup by wearing helmets as Rodney's been saying since day one as the Prez. I've been guilty in the past but when Bowie writes that big check every month to our insurer to protect the existence of a club that been around for almost 15 years longer than I have, I damn sure don't want to be the one blow it for everyone. Plus, I want to preserve what brain cells are left.

One thing to never forget, this is a hobby. Nothing more, nothing less.

Let's move on and start drumming up interest for the Novice School or it will be come the TNT version 2.0

Well said Matt. Cooler heads will prevail.

Take a step back, look at the big picture.

Happy hour anyone?

I've been thinking about signing up and making it just that... Shall I assume that as long as I pay the entry fee, this is legit?
