I am still in. Look at the bright side, ha ha, More runs if fewer people show, and less tire wear in the rain.

I see 60s and a 50/50 shot at rain. I'm in. Anyone pondering a no-show is a sissy.

I'll be "wicked bummed" (yeah, I grew up 2hrs from Boston) if it rains, because I really wanna heat the tires up and make some adjustments. Besides the Mazda has no heat, defrost or side glass.

I guess I can bring the Bullitt on street tires. :( I'll be keeping an eye on the forecast.

I'm not scared and it just makes things more interesting for all the AWD/FWD to RWD noobs. Oh wait...

We'll just have to remember to mark the course(s) with the yellow lumber crayons.

Good to hear the McQueen Green machine is back so quickly.

And what a difference that made. I would have never guessed it was actually shifting so poorly, it's amazing what you get used to. Very smooth shifts all the way though the gears and down shifting is much easier. VERY glad I had this looked at.

Now 90% chance of rain. A extra coat of Rain-X and 303 comvertible top protectant appears to be in order....

A few years ago at a school Rodney, Brice, and I had a blast on a cool rainy day like Sunday’s forecast. There’s a lot of yeeha to be had in the rain. I mean work on improving car control skills. BTW, Rodney and I each backed through the finish line at speed. Ah, the wonder of RDW in the rain, it’s more fun than Frankies’ slick track. Please keep the finish straight. I think that I talked a couple of guys in 5.0 Mustangs into going. That’ll be fun to watch in the rain.

Positive thinking people!

I've been to plenty of events where there was a "100% chance of rain" where I haven't seen a drop.

And as Mike and Matt said, there is a lot of learning to be had in the rain. Don't let the weather scare you, it will be a fun weekend.

Jeremy and I have these options:

Square brand new 255 RS3s

Run 225 star specs in the rear (with lots of tread) and the bald-ish 245 star specs in the front.

Run 225 star specs in front (with lots of tread) and my brand new Conti DW 215s (on the Civic) in the rear (with +45 offset) so more rear grip and more rear track.

Anyway, I ain't skeerd!

Since it's Laurinburg, I'd plan for lots of standing water.

That's where you come into play....drift through the puddles and clear them out.

I'm on 1/2 tread Hankook V12's (215's & 255's) and was hoping to finish them off this weekend. Staying optimistic...

I've had a set on the IS for over a year and they're decent in the wet at least.
