Are folks really willing to travel "Down East" for a NCAC?

Well, there's sure one way to find out! :D
If the new location is as good as CP, they'd be making a huge mistake not giving it a shot at either location. CP probably has more places to eat, etc, but Warren Field might be easier to get into and out of. :whoknows:
They'll figure it out.

Me personally, I am hoping they give it a shot. If Warren Field turns out to be a good site then whats not to like on having one on this side of the state for a change?

I'd certainly give it a shot, I'm sure there will be complaining from some of the other groups, particularly Highlands, but they usually have a small contingent anyways. The core groups that compete in Triad and CCR travel all over the freakin country to autocross, so a drive accross the state shouldn't be that big a deal. The one thing that concerns me about the Warren site is I heard that it is an active airport, so how many runways do we get? Yes it looks like a really nice chunk of pavement for the course, but one would really need another of the connected runways for pit/grid for a large event.

if the runway is long enough it will be like "CP" the bottom part is grid and the top part is the course, wide enough to go down and back and no where near the other lanes!!

Nope, actually WAY more places to eat, gas stations, etc

Within a mile
Wal Mart

KFC
Jersey Mikes
Subway
BK
McD's
Wendy's
Golden Corral

Even a couple of hotels.

Washington

You don't have to deal with the hassle of getting onto base :)

The ZMax events are both on a Saturday. Curious about the 2-day event as well.

CCR for many years did a "24 hour du mall" event at a mall in Charlotte that went away a few years back. I'm guessing "the 24" is a revival of the concept and yes, they really ran for 24 hours from noon Saturday through noon Sunday, run as many times as you want, sleep when you want. You could easily burn through a set of tires at one of these event if you ran all night, there was no waiting in line basically from 3am to 6am, lines could get annoyingly long at other times though. I hope this isn't the Dixie Classic Fairgrounds in Winston.

I'd be willing to bet that it is. Triad's September event is listed as Tentative. They may be in this one together.
