Fellow members:

First I'd like to apologize for not having an annual inspection available at the first autocross event of the year. I'm new at this Chief of Tech gig and was getting my bearings.

Annual inspections will be available at the Danville autocross on April 25th and at the Sanford event on May 15th. Having an Annual Tech sticker will allow your car to be "teched" more quickly at other autocross events and will streamline the overall event tech inspection process (which might also allow me and other tech inspectors to get in more than one course walk).

If you wish to avail yourself of this facility, download the Annual Autocross Safety/Tech Inspection Form from the THSCC web site: http://www.thscc.com/autocross/forms/. Read it. Understand it. Fill it in and sign it. Bring it to the next autocross events and when the Tech Inspector comes by, ask for an "annual tech" and give him/her the form. It will be signed and returned to you along with a annual tech sticker. Place the tech sticker on the inside of your windshield near your safety/emissions sticker and keep the signed form in your vehicle. At subsequent events you are expected to self-tech your vehicle. Use the check-list to be sure you've covered every item.

If you have a current THSCC Track/Time Trial Tech Inspection sticker it will be accepted as an autocross annual tech sticker substitute.

You must be a THSCC member in good standing with at least four events of verifiable autocross experience to be eligible for an annual tech.

Can we leave said form signed and on our windshield (weather permitting) for Tech to sign and leave us the sticker?

I'm not sure what I'm driving.
Maybe an ITR in DS.
Or half-assed STX prepped 330.

Does this look anything like the TT tech sticker?

No, I don't think so - we'd like the opportunity to peer into your eyes and be absolutely sure you're taking this safety thing seriously. Where are you going to be anyway? If you want the annual and you want to leave the car (for a course walk or something) just find one of us Tech Inspectors and ask if we could do your annual immediately - I'm sure we can accommodate you.
