I am scheduled to work the weekend of the June, July, August, and September events. And I was planning on attending the Zmax event instead of the EVchalenge event. Booo.

Edit: Of the two day events which day is the points day?

I'd rather be driving than watching.

I'd really love to attend the ALMS race at VIR. So though this autocross schedule has been semi-non-official-sorta-kinda for almost a week now, is it possible to move our NCCAR event to another weekend?

When do you want it to be? I THINK the answer is no, but propose a date, and people here will tell you why it won't work :).

What conflicts with September 22-23 or 29-30?

Lemons is the 22nd weekend, if that matters.

So the 29th & 30th would be good because the race would probably impact turnout, right? Any objections to these dates for "NCCAR-F Autoxtravaganza", EV, and points event Sunday.

Also, could we gauge interest in heading to VMP for the last points event perhaps? Folks that went to the Chillycross this past weekend had a great report about the site, the grip, facilities and it's capabilities for course design. The downside is that it may be a touch further which might hurt the numbers.

Any thoughts?

Well, the way it is now, we plan to go set up the CircuitX and autox, and mark a rallyx course or two at the same time. Then, we go back for a rallyx the following weekend (they'll be preparing the course for us during the week).

If you do the autox/circuitx the 29/30th, we'll be going there 3 weekends in a row, and I'm not doing that. So we'll need to reschedule and/or move the rallyx somewhere else.

So just figure out when the autox/circuitx need to be scheduled and we'll work something out on the rallyx. I'd really prefer that it stay the way it is now, though.

I would go to VMP...seems similar distance to ZMax, and if the site is close to a similar size and grip level then I think it may be worth it. Certainly better than Laurinburg.

If my recollection serves me correctly, I would say grip level is better at VMP, but the site isn't quite as big.

As to whether I would attend a THSCC points event at VMP, see my post in the other thread.

Just because I'm bored at work and finally caught up I ran some travel times on g-maps:

From - Laurinburg-Maxton Airport - VMP in Petersburg, VA

DT Raleigh 1:54 2:31
DT Durham 2:16 2:13
DT Cary 1:59 2:35
Apex 1:49 2:42

I still like the 15th and 16th personally. . .

As for VMP, I think its too far for a decent turnout.
