I ask because I ordered the Eibach 32mm front bar, but I think they shipped me the full front/rear bar kit instead. I was looking at the stiffness specs on the rear bar to see if it would be worth my while to swap it with the OEM part vs just returning it for the front bar. I don't want to be in a position of trying to sell just a rear sway bar for an s2k! I used
these specs to come up with the numbers. (assuming my MY2002 is an AP1 110 series).
The stock rates of 53.6N/mm front and 73N/mm rear have a ratio of 0.73.
With the Eibach front bar on stiff (73N/mm) and stock rear bar, the ratio would be 1.0. I originally had this setup in mind, since this would have the most drastic effect to reduce the oversteer.
With the Eibach front bar on stiff, and Eibach rear bar on soft (90N/mm), the ratio would be 0.81. I'm tempted to try this setting at the first points event to see how much of the oversteer it would really reduce. If it's too understeery, I could always try the next setting...
With the Eibach front bar on soft (65N/mm), and the Eibach rear bar on soft, the ratio would be 0.72. Almost the same as stock, but with slightly more stiffness front and rear to hopefully keep the body from rolling so much, but still have about the same understeer/oversteer balance as stock.
Am I totally off base with these numbers or what? Ricer math much?
