Didn't Buckley once say they would make a bar for anything if you called them. They are somewhere in the Hickory area IIRC.

Probably worth a call at least. Couldn't hurt. Is anyone else interested? Group buy?

Because they cost more, and I didn't really see a benefit to it for my needs.

Or group buy the Gendron bar? I would be interested in that....provided I procure a car upon which to mount it. :roll:

The base price for the Gendron bar is $625. Wow.

So are the stock endlinks ok, or should I upgrade those when I replace the front bar?

I used the stock end links with the eibach bar. They are pretty stoudt. I would think the bar manufacturer would supply them if necessary.

Addco said they would make me one. Is anyone else interested? Are the bars the same between AP1 and AP2?

Thickness? Hollow vs solid? Adjustability? Price? Estimated spring rates?

...could be interested if it fits my plans. Thanks for making the call!

I was going to have them make me a 32mm hollow adjustable bar. No idea on price, but he said they normally run in the $150-175 range, so I would think $175 max.

Why not just get the Eibach? Same specs, same price.

depends on the thickness of the bar's wall, as well as the length of the lever arms (relative to a perpendicular dropped from the longitudinal axis of the main bar crosspiece)....

Pi x G x (OD^4-ID^4)
--------------
16 x B^2 X L

B= length of lever arm
G= modulus of elasticity (usually a constant since all bars are made of similar steel)
D= diameter
L= length of bar

Stephen, how many adjustment holes will they make?

Frequently moment arms are not 100% perpendicular to the torsional sectional and therefore there is a bending moment element to that equation as well.

:roll: OK, fine. *&)@&# engineers.... :wink:

The point is that not all hollow bars are made equal, and the difference between ID and OD (and length of lever arm) is critical. The 32mm Eibach bars are reportedly not that much better than OE, about 360-420 lb/in, at least how they were measured recently on S2ki.com (caveat emptor). OE varied by MY, but ranges from 300lb/in (02-07) to 393 lb/in (00-01, and CR) with 08-09 in the middle at 353. In comparison, the Gendron 32mm hollow (wall thickness 6.25mm) bar has rates from about 460 to about 900.

Not all 32mm bars are the same....
