Do where are you running next year Cash, STX or keeping Art company in FS?

I'm staying in FS with the Bullitt, but you might see the FP Mazda on occasion. :D

well, after reading the STX rules for wheel width and considering my bank account after buying the bullitt, it seems my cheapest way to run in 2012 is in ESP class.

agreed.... Now I just need to decide what tires to run, only $300 difference between R-S3's and A6's. Would be fun to run GOOD stickies for a year.

Doesn't that math work only until the A6's need to be replaced? Do you REALLY think you will be able to keep the Rear tires from cording all year? Just sayin.... :)

oh yeah!!! The A6's will only last a year while the R-S3's should last 2 years. There is a cost delta to consider. The up side to mustang is it runs a square set of tires.

With good stickies you could benchmark against FS (i.e. you "should" be quicker . . . right? :? )

The current thought is if I go stickies, then no tuner for the car. If I go w/ the R-S3's then I can afford a SCT/bama tuner. Hummmmm.

Why would you need a tune with "street tires" given that even with "only" 315 HP, 325 ft-lbs, and 3:73's you will be traction limited anyway (I think)? Apparently you will be traction limited much of the time even with stickies, especially on our sites.

I'm thinking the 285 R-S3's will be a little tougher to break loose than the 235's.

 just checked Tirerack pricing....seems they won't have any problem breaking loose cash from your wallet. Not too far off Hoosier pricing in that size!

After purchasing a set of 18x9.5 wheels, that's where I'm headed. Either there or SM, depending on if I decide to do cams or not.

Right now, I'm looking at either NT-05s or RS-3s. But I'm looking for a tire that will be fine for autocross, a little street driving and track.

It's all relative, but excessive wheelspin is still a fact of life with 295 A6s unless you're careful with the throttle.
