The sun, water, beach and racing all wrapped up in one. The temps were in the upper 80's with a nice breeze blowing off the bay. With the exception of getting my butt handed to me by my co-driver, it was a lot of fun in Virginia Beach. I would rank that site right behind Toledo's concrete.
Yea, the sand was a little tricky and unexpected. You did not see it while walking or working. But you felt it as soon as your got on the brakes. Fienberg adjusted very well to it. But I continued to have a bad push when exiting the sweepers. Oh well.
The MR2 was so fast and so loud, we had 3 or 4 people come up after the event and ask if it was stock. Yea, the new exhuast makes Aaron's car sound normal. When I asked Jim if it was loud enough, he said it was a close match to the Morgan 8 on course with me
Tidewater has some work to do on their run groups and overlap. But what a freaking great site they have. I believe they run there once a month and then have a winter series at the site.
