I was thinking about heading down for the NCR Nov 20 event. What's that site like?

It's small, a bit larger than Greenville, clean, and with moderate grip. But they usually do a fairly decent course with what they've got, you get 6 runs, and the company is top shelf. They break for lunch and there's a couple of fast food places close by.

I try not to miss their events.

I'm going to be at the Blackwater event. It's in the backyard :D

It's a relatively new club in Virginia and they're charging $150 @ NCCAR (& $10 to spectate) and are already up to 25 entries. Interesting.

WHAT. :o :woo:

$150 for a mini-track day with timed runs and competition??!?!? This could be just the thing to cure my sadness of missing all HPDEs in October... :furious:

Who's going?

Also, I'm guessing I'd have to run the E30, as a topless car probably isn't allowed? (I don't think I'd even want to take a die-if-I-roll car anyway...)

EDIT: Found some more info on their (pretty awful) website:
Quote:
What is GRIPFest?
It is the chance to test your driving skills and your car at NCCAR!

•Drivers of all skill levels will be welcome -- including novices!
•This will be a Solo style event, there will be NO door-to-door racing.
•Drivers will receive an estimated 10 timed runs -- 5 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon!
That's 25 MILES of track time!

The beautiful NCCAR facility is located just off of Interstate 95 in Garysburg, NC.

Minutes from Roanoke Rapids, NC, and under 2 hours from both Richmond and Norfolk.

Gates will open at 8:00am, bring a safe car and a helmet.

Unlike most track events, rollbars are NOT required for convertibles at this event--although they are highly recommended for safety!

Lunch is available for purchase on site.
