Great course Jeremy/John.

Gracious, it was fun. Def plan on doing again.

Definitely a good course to emphasize the 'momentum' aspect of a miata for my first CSP codrive ;).

Absolutely hate that we missed this one. The CSP Miata is quite pissed and may not get me to RDU in the morning, so if you come across a blue Miata with a tan top sitting on US1 or I40 around 7:00 stop and take me to the airport.

Well, the answer was obviously pistons...preferably inside a Miata of any vintage. Frank looked great out there, not that he was hard to see given the blaze orange shirts shared by his drivers/event chairs.

I enjoyed the day and the course, despite coning away my best run, yet again. That taxiway slalom hated me, though...brought out needless reminders of where my (numerous) weak spots are.

It did confirm for me that split run groups are not optimal... :stick:

Thanks to Jeremy and John, and Les for putting on a great event!

I thnk given the weather possibilities yesterday, split run groups were completely necessary. I just think people over thought them. THSCC has been doing split run groups since Jesus was a small boy and they ran smooth 95% of the time just like they did today. The key, is to decide on SRG BEFORE the event so you have time to prepare. I'm sure the "Rtandard Run Groups" information is still on the site. Using that information would have aleviated some of the head aches yesterday.

The course was great. Congrats to the designers.

The event ran smooth despite the ~1.5 hour delay.

After walking the course I was really dreading it. I guess the last course at Sanford was so much fun it spoiled me. I'm glad I was wrong because it was a blast of a course to drive. Great job Jeremy and John!

Special thanks to Kendt for loaning us his good tires while he drove on his corded ones.

The wife had a great time yesterday after a loooooong absence due to school and work. Expect to see us both back out there.

Yeah "I chose - poorly"

Honestly I had no idea if those R6s were OK or heat-cycled out - they were used eBay tires. I know what I'll be finishing the season on, though.

It was nice to be at an AX again, the course was nice and fun. Olivier had his first AX and he like it and want to do it again.
We will have a look at the calendar and see when we can do one again. The coming month are pretty much taken out by Marching band. But we will see.

Fun time for sure and big thanks to John & Jeremy for Event Chairing and making a very interesting course with lots of different styles of elements. Those tight 6-7 cone slaloms are growing on me and doing the sweeping in a car with the power going to the back is a totally different ballgame. On my last run of the day I found out what it's like to autocross a car with a little fuel starvation. Not to self, don't run with the gas light staring at you.

Hope the CRX fix is an easy one Ryan - that thing's too pretty to be out of commission for long.

See everyone at NCCAR next month!

But over-thinking and unnecessarily complicating simple procedures is what Steve and I DO! :D

Blam! Needless over-explanation of simplistic ideas and concepts that end up confusing people when in actuality it's quite straightforward if I could just give you an example to get you set on the background requisite information and experience requiredblahblahblahblahblah = me.

I am up for un-election this winter. You have been warned.

I don't think it could be explained any easier. Actually you simplified it nicely on the 'cheat sheet' by dictacting which work assignment you work according to class. Kudos on making the call on split groups just for the sake of fairness with the iffy weather outlook.

We ran split groups for years (I used to think AAW was sort of a foreign concept in fact) and you had to get to the table early to get the earlier work assignment of the two options, which is what most preferred. I know I did so that I could work 2 and not 4 to change tires before trophies.

I still prefer AAO, but I'd never gripe about split groups, just my driving sometimes or how my tires are dead.
