All,

We need some additional worker help with this event...

(1) Still looking for 1-2 folks to help James Milko and Les Davis with selling stuff, raffle tix and managing bets, collecting $ etc for both Sat and Sun

(2) Need early gate worker for both Saturday and Sunday, 730-830.

(3) Need 1-2 people to help Bowie out with his food prep/sales.

As expected, this counts as your worker duty, so no cone shagging required....

Please consider helping out!

Thanks,
Steve

Put me down to help out with the food prep/sales. I can probably get my wife to help out too.

Thanks for the quick replies!

OK, so John is early gate Saturday..please be there before 730--like 715-720 or so. I'll be there around 7 to unlock the bus and get your stuff ready.

Lee and his wife (or Wendy Gast) will help Bowie out with food on Sunday

Jeremy will work with James and Les with tix sales, bets, merch etc. If it's possible for the three of you to do both days that would make things smoother and more consistent. Jeremy, I think Bowie only needs two people to help out with food...could Wendy be a fourth for merch/raffle sales?

Still need a worker for Sunday early gate!

That works for me. We all also happen to be CSP, can we not have CSP run first heat so I don't have to worry about getting the car ready in the morning/getting my runs in.

noted. I suspect Sunday will be busier than Saturday, so the extra help is better then, most likely.

I think that's fair... It hopefully won't be too hot, so I'll pencil CSP in for driving third heat (working first) or so.

Just as a reminder, if you are working a special assignment, you are allowed to run outside of your run group. Moving an entire run group to make room for one person isn't required. Just wanted to let you know you have latitude in regard to workers.

we probably need to be careful to not have TOO many special assignment people also, there ARE only 68/78 drivers signed up

I can do early gate Sunday. I also don't mind running my mouth if you need an announcer.

Done! Thanks, Marcus.

In re CSP: James, Les and jeremy make up a lot of CSP...but certainly can run outside your run group. I think I may have mentioned that in the other thread...apologies for not reiterating it here.

Brice, I was told to fill these added worker slots for two days, and need additional help for gate with Bernie's absence--And, people want an announcer, so there's another slot...I'm just following orders....

Besides, therez mad rumorz of a group of drifter-types who may show up, and with it being a nice day/weekend walk-ups may be more numerous than usual.

Yeah. If it gets tight, you can always do 3 run groups I suppose. I just know that Sanford tends to be a long, skinny course and can therefore demand a lot of worker stations.

You know how to do your [totally thankless] job, I'll stay out of it and stick to my cushy jobs.
