I told you about the major mistake that I made on my last run. Boy am I still p'd at myself for that one!

But you're right the event was so good otherwise. Even if my opposition (Jon) is the one who designed it! Great guy. He was so funny though, he was poking me (literally) because my raw time was faster than his..I think he was actually miffed at himself! He told me that he's VERY competitive.

Got him by eight tenths last time though! :D

We did our runs 2 and 2 so there was 1/2 as many equipment changeovers. I do like our A-B gridline system better tho with 2 driver cars, you know exactly when you'll run next rather than putting it in the hands of the grid worker to funnel them in. In my experience they get paranoid about not getting all the runs in so they typically feed the two driver cars in too quickly. In our grid worker's defense however, she gave us until we indicated we were ready before sending us out the one time she first called us before we were set, and after that gave us a two or three car warning and checked that we were ready before sending us out. The fact that even with some timing and scoring glitches they managed to give > 160 cars 4 runs and still have fun runs after trophies was commendable. Jon managed to pull off a great event even tho most of his club's key event people weren't there, experienced workers from other clubs came forward and helped out.

The only thing I had to bitch about was the surface grip in the morning runs. It sucked hairy balls. Everyone in ST* classes that ran fun runs was amazed at the grip level. On my 1st fun run I felt like I drove worse and pulled 0.7 off my time.....

Great event other then that though. The scenery was especially nice :)
