VK is spot on. If burning off the paint on your pads is a concern that the pads are no good, then your never going to find a set of pads that fit your criteria. Hard braking at HPDE's will burn the paint off the pads and the rotors....it means nothing.
Buy a good set of track brake pads and use the for track only. Stick with street tires on track until you are totally proficient (at least 10 events).

I'm actually starting to think just that. Another set of stock rims with good street tires for my HPDE's and autox and enjoy the car. I need pads on it soon so that will be addressed soon as well.

When I tracked mine, it was almost completely bone stock with these exceptions:
- Aggressive alignment
- Carbotech XP-10 pads in the front
- Carbotech Bobcat pads in the back
- 17x9 wheels w/ Nitto NT-01 tires (yes...17" wheels. they fit fine)

The stock shocks are decent, but not great. With that setup, the car was easy and forgiving to drive. It has a bit of push on track for slow turns, but the rest of the time, it was balanced and fun.
