So it seems that there are 13x8 that will clear the 1.8L NA front brakes, but will they clear the 1.8L NB front brakes?

Anyone want to try mine - let me know, although Rob may be closer to everyone. I have the 13x8 Rota RBs - same as what Jeremy sold Rob, I think.

I also have 1 brand new 255 A6 that I got as insurance in case I couldn't get the bead leaks under control when the season started. I still have slow leaks, but they take weeks to go down.

The Rotas on Robs car are 13x9s with 225/45-13 Kooks Z214. Those things are a major biatch to mount. They simply don't stretch. On a 9" rim the tires look square. The Rotas don't rub on his car at all. No spacers.

The Kooks are pretty good, but Hoosiers are better. Rob bought some new 6ULs. I have a supplier who gets me real good condition take offs. So I should have a nice stack of A6s very soon, before the next event.

No they aren't, they are 13x8's, Rota doesn't make a 9" wheel

Why don't you just buy the 225/45/15's and mount them on your 6 inch wheels then when you have the money buy the 15x9's and mount the same tires on those wheels? Having driven a 99 Miata on the aforementioned 225 on 6 inch wheel I can attest they are not sloppy feeling and the tires work just fine.

Oh ok. sorry. Rob told me they were 13x9. Those Kooks fit great on them. But seriously, mounting them sucks. Mark had fits doing it. I tried 2 other places I use for my Hoosiers and they tried to mount the 1st Kook and went no way and wouldn't touch them. I think heat, 2 people, lots of foul language, and added costs for mounting apply. It cost us more money and aggravation than they worth in my mind.

Having the 13" wheels does help with the gearing a lot and that helps that little 1.6 not struggle so bad on launches and accelerating after any hard braking.

accelerating after any hard braking.

With a 1.6NA, you shouldn't be doing any of that :).

This whole concept of driving without torque is very confusing...

Gas. Early.

Why not just get some cheapie stock wheels and run in CS while you 'relearn' your new limits on r-comps? Just try not to grin too hard while driving at the difference it makes.

My car isn't legal for CS ever. ES and still not legal with the lack of seats, convertible top, airbox, coilovers so he is forced to learn on it as is :D

Ram has a few things done that push him out of CS if I remember correctly

Ram has coilovers/sways and the wrong exhaust manifold on his car. There may be others but that's what immediately comes to mind.

yup...and a cone intake. I love the car too much right now to go back to stock. Guess I'll just have to learn the way it is :D

I said that about my car, but then I took it back to stock class to be competitive. I LIKE being competitive. Then again, my car had NO shot in the class I was in, where as you might have a chance in a Miata, not to mention, you are further down the modified path than I was.
