Ram is in an interesting position because the wheels he wants are out of stock and after destroying his star specs at the school this weekend, he has nothing for the 5/22 event so it's either find used 15x7-8s fast and get the 225s or put 205/50 on his 15x6. Main point is to get some race rubber asap so he can start showing Rob/Graham how it's done :).

15x9 6ULs are in stock at 949, but you should probably wait because 15x10s are in development.

I thought the 15x10's from 949 have been in the works for awhile... with no firm set date yet, then again I dont pay too much attention to the 15x10's

ya but the 949 10's you know they are gonna be later than originally expected. Emilio is good but sometimes his shipping estimates stink

Might have to do a fender roll on the 15X9's and 10s

He should be good with 15x9" and 225/45. We ran 225/50s on a 15x9 last weekend and we only had some minor rubbing in the front. His car being a NB helps a ton, I had to roll my rears with the same wheel/tire combo.

You guys figure out what exactly was rubbing? I felt the inside lip of the wheel and it didn't feel rough or gouged.

Wheel on the fender liner somewhere, it was only when the wheel was partially turned and the suspension wasn't loaded. I never heard it happen on course when Ram was driving only in the paddock.

I heard something when the wheel was near lock when I rode along with Ram when he was coming out of the C box turnaround. It sounded like it was hitting the LCA, but maybe it was the fender/fenderliner.

The 225/45 might be fine due to the smaller diameter.

It was the inside lip of the wheel against the LCA. I'll likely end up throwing a spacer on and rolling the front fender lip to stop that from happening. Unless I need new studs to get enough thread on the lugs, in that case It'll likely wait till my wheel bearings need replacement.

Lot of great information here guys! Thanks! Especially you Graham :)

Based on what I read on the miata forums, I shouldn't have had any problem with 15x9's +36. So, the control arm clearance problem this weekend was kinda strange. Maybe the lip of the wheel was hitting my springs? We didn't ever go full lock...at least I don't think we did.
I'm sure I lost a lot of time at the C box because I purposely drove it super wide and slow. It still made a lot of rubbing/scraping noise.

i have a very minimal rub on my front sway bar with my 15x9's but that is prob gonna be the normal. I dont think it happened while out on course but more of when i was going full lock and parking.

So it seems that there are 13x8 that will clear the 1.8L NA front brakes, but will they clear the 1.8L NB front brakes?
