I hope no one minds me cross posting this over here but I figured a few people would be interested even though it is the day before the NCCAR event.

Triad Sports Car Club is Proud to Announce The Sneeds Speed Shop CrossTrial Shootout , Sat May 21 at the Old Sanford Airport in Sanford , NC . The Shootout will be similiar to a ProSolo , with a 64 car field . It will consist of a Double Elimination Bracket in which pairs of cars will run on mirror image Prosolo style courses or circular Doublecross style courses . Each pairing will run a best 2 out of 3 runs ,alternating lanes on the first 2 runs and the slower class or last winner having lane choice if a 3rd run is needed . The winner advancing in a winners bracket and the loser falling into a last chance bracket . You must lose 2 pairings to be eliminated from the Shootout .The Competitor hitting the most cones loses that round , there are no time penalties . There will be no timers , and 2 judges will judge the finish line and any finish too close to call will rerun that race . Each Bracket will run until only 2 remain , the 2 Last Chance Winners will each then challenge the 2 Winners until only 1 car is left .
Classes will be grouped into 8 sub-Classes based on the 2011 Pax . Each group will have its own Handicapped starting line based on 2010-2011 ProSolo 60ft times and average final time difference between classes on 45-55 second ProSolo and National Tours . This comes up to a 25-30ft starting gap between each group .

The following groups are the run groups seperated as evenly as possible by PAX indexes
Group 1- All Mods , FSAE , F125
Group 2- XP , BP , DP , FP , SSM
Group 3- CP , EP , SM , ASP
Group 4- BSP , CSP , SMF , SS
Group 5- ESP , DSP , AS , BS , GP
Group 6- CS , FS , FSP , STR , STU
Group 7- ST , STS , STX , ES , DS
Group 8- GS , HS

First place wins $150 Sneeds Certificate ( good for merchandise or labor) and Free TSCC Entry (worth up to $40)
Second Place wins $75 Sneeds certificate and Free TSCC Entry
Third Place wins $50 Sneeds Certificate and Free TSCC Entry
Fourth Place wins a Free TSCC Entry
Entry fee is $30 for members and $40 for non-membersRegistration will open Wednesday April 6th

This will be grassroots racing at its best , Think Pinks Vs ProSolo . We plan to do 2 Shootouts this year and if they are well subscribed we will try to do a 4 event series next year . More info will be available as the event draws near .

CANCELLATION will be accepted with no penalty up to 7 days before the event with full refund . Between 7-4 days prior to the event , cancellations will recieve a 50% refund . Cancellations later than this will recieve no refund . Full refunds will however be recieved if we have another entrant to fill that vacancy.

That sounds like a lot of fun Keith! Wish I could make it for a taste of prosolo. Working weekends is for the birds...

You'd probably need a new set of A6s after that if you did well too , which you probably would.

Round 2 is on September 10. And to let everyone who was at the last one know to not be scared as I won't be attending this event due to work travel.

We will have a new course layout and some of the starting lines have been altered to fall more in lines with our local competition.
