As others have stated, I'll be there as GM to help out and I'm sure that you guys and I can work something out. However if your uncomfortable with it and you would prefer not to and do a different event instead we could probably find someone else to chair. If we're going ahead, I'd recommend taking a look at the satellite images and working something out in advance, we can hash it out over email. lddavis73@gmail.com. Hopefully this event will be the debut of my 6 million dollar C4 so I'm going to have to insist on at least a couple spots where I can let loose the 6.3L. Of course since I still have no word on the short block eight weeks after ordering it, who knows when the car will run again. :(

Actually, I'm quite looking forward to doing it, and have been checking out the satellite imagery. I think I need to check out the LFS autox course editor... And how early can we arrive on Saturday to check the place out?

I'm all for a bit of straight "stretch" room. :D Hope you can get the C4 running in time.

There will be SMARTT related activities going on till 3pm.

We (and by we, I mean the event chairs) need to find a bus driver too :).

Any reason we can't come hang out and check out the SMARTT stuff if we have nothing better to do?

Around 3pm on Saturday.

Also, for people concerned about the distance to Garysburg, for most of us, it is all interstate and mostly 70 mph zones the whole way there. So distance wise, it is farther than Lburg, but time wise, it takes 30-50 minutes less time to get there (depending on where in the Triangle you are).

Nope, just let Simon know who you are and what you are there for. They have cameras everywhere and soon as I got there Saturday morning, I drove to the VDA and Simon called his site guy and he came to interrogate me :).

Quiet hour is from 11-12... can' t the EV's run during that hour?

Seriously, though great idea to combine the 2 events.
This will pave the way for future autocrosses with production EV's like my Nissan LEAF which I don't have yet. :?

If you do remember you get a free hotel if you want it. Speaking of hotels and restaurants near the NCCAR site, the exit that the site is on had very limited choices, all I saw was a Burger King. However one exit south on I95 offers many choices including a Hampton Inn.

Rodney,

I would like to help out, particularly with the SMARTT challenge part.
