Rob,
My point was that making the distinction of "we're novice friendly" can be mis-interpreted as "other groups are not novice friendly, but we are." Whether that may be true is not the goal of that statement--encouraging people to come out and join us is. I am sure we want to promote novice participation but think a non-adversarial approach such as your "No experience? No problem!" does a great job with that.

Steven, didn't anyone tell you we are Elitist bastards? The card should specifically state "Yes, we are better than the other clubs"
:)
Why stop there when we can just put a picture of a BMW on the front
As Novice Co-ordinator I have to disagree. Maybe change the wording to say something like "No experience-No problem - we have instructors" I know that I was a bit intimidated when I first started.

+1 from me too on the $5 off. Can I take advantage of it if I get a card

Les, you mentioned FedEx, but just FYI, Malia recently had 2-sided full color, gloss finish cards printed from http://www.overnightprints.com and they turned out pretty nice, especially for $10/500 (+S/H). If you're not in a big hurry you might consider a similar route...

This is a GREAT IDEA!!! I'd gladly carry some of these and hand them out.

I think a first event discount is better than discounted membership, because most people (myself included) have a very inaccurate idea of what "this autocross thing" actually is before actually going to one. Besides, after their first event they'll be hooked!

Do we have a simple facebook link for our THSCC page? The link I'm seeing is kind of long and ugly and wouldn't look good on the card. Can we get something like www.facebook.com/thscc?

Les,

I think you have to have a paid account to get a fancy link like that unfortunately. Maybe just say 'Follow us on Facebook: Tarheel Sports Car Club" or something like that?

What about a link from thscc.com? i.e. "www.thscc.com/facebook"

Sounds good on the facebook link.

I don't think I'm gonna go with the individual car photos I had spoken of earlier, seems like too much trouble. I'm just going with a stock graphic from the card printing website.
