Well I am now a Evolution Phase I graduate :beerbuds: . The school was great and I learned a ton. Now hopefully I can cut into JimX2's times and be more competition.

Thanks to Jim Pastorius for beating into my head to go slow around turn arounds, they did not have to tell me once to slow down. :D

Tim Aro and Darrin DeSimmo were our instructors and I got a lot from both of their comments.

Thanks to all who recommended it, now gotta save for Phase II.

I would add a hearty confirmation to Rob's endorsement. The Phase 2 was also very well done (although the weather sucked, with a high temp of 47 degrees and a 20-25 mph wind). The Phase 2 instructors were Rob Falkner and Jinx Jordan. The only downside of the weekend was that after the 55 runs my car made during Phase 1 and 2, I now need a new set of tires.

I hate working the course at autox and I must tell you about it, often.

Yeah well worth the cost of entry. I got reminders of the things that folks in the club have tried to tell me during the Novice/Intermmediate schools and during the season. Learned some new things to help better visualize the course and cut down on the clutter. Got pep talks about overdriving the car. I'm sure you're all as shocked as I was :o I also learned how to do turnarounds in both directions and how import patience is. And boy do I need more work on that... I wouldn't hesitate to recommend that school to anyone who is serious about trying to improve. It is concentrated instruction and fast paced. We did just about a whole season of driving in one school!

I'd also like to note that after taking the schools I can tell you that we have a lot of good coaches in this club that can help many of us. So if you're not attending our club level schools or asking those instructors for help then you should reconsider that. You should also consider the Evo schools. I'll be attending Phase II in the next couple of months for sure.

Sorry to hear the weather sucked on Sunday Rick. It sure was a nice day on Saturday and we had a blast. We got 32 runs in Phase I so I'm sure with the addition of Phase II your tires took a beating. The Sumi HTRZ-IIs held up very well. I'm really surprised. They don't look bad at all. Who knows, maybe I'm even learning to conserve tires. That's scary now isn't it :?:
