With the autocross season kicking off this forecasted 60 degree, sunny weekend in Laurinburg, we are going to need a bus driver. If you or anyone you know can help the club with this it would be greatly appreciated and you will be doing everyone a HUGE favor as folks work out the bugs and test their new off-season mods at the T-n-T. The plan is to head down sometime Saturday morning for course design and clearing, then when things wrap up Sunday afternoon, head on back to Apex to drop the bus off at Chris'.

I know Kendt expressed that it may be possible to get the bus there. Perhaps someone's available to get it back to town if we can't get a volunteer to go to and from?

As always there are perks to volunteering and helping many:
-Free entry to the Test-n-Tune
-A free hotel room if needed
-Good karma and praise from fellow auto-xers

Also, if you think that you may be able to help out but don't know how you are getting your car there for the event, let us know, because we can most likely work something out.

Pm me or email autocross@thscc.com to help.

Thanks!
-Matt

The other option is if someone can give me a ride from my home in Vass (30 min south of Sanford) back to LBurg after the event, I could take the bus back to Chris'

I'll leave my Focus at Chris' house. When is setup starting on Sat? I guess I'd also need a ride back to Vass Sat evening to get my car. I also need to change the oil in the Miata before the event.

Clear as mud?

Any update? I'm not having much luck nailing down a ride.

Wow, nobody wants a free entry/hotel room and extra playtime on Saturday?

I think I'll go ahead and drive it, then. Liz will drive my STi down and play with it.

I'll be driving the bus back to my house after the T&T, since the next thing is the BMW Farm rallyx, and I don't feel like driving to Apex twice in one weekend. If this screws anybody's plans, then you can come get the bus at my house, or drive it home from the T&T.

We'll be attempting to get to the site around noon for setup.

Yeehaw.

You rock Kevin, big thanks for doing that.

If I can fit my lawnmower in the Civic along with the race wheels, it's coming with. Noon sounds great to me.

The bus is needed at Sanford on March 5th for Street Survival School. It will be driven from SS school to BMW farm Saturday the 5th after the school.
Please do not drive the bus back to Four Oaks after T&T.

Okay, looks like I wasn't authorized to make that decision. Liz won't be able to be there the whole weekend, so I'm out as the bus driver. See you guys there, if we find a bus driver.

Sorry.

Ok I'll drive the bus. But can someone at least let me score a few codrives since my car won't be there?

I'll offer a couple of runs in my Miata if it'll help the cause. I was actually afraid I'd end up volunteering to pick up the bus. I'll be the one with the monster enclosed trailer. Swing by.
