We are officially scheduled for out September event at NCCAR so the schedule can reflect that now, keep in mind though we are doing 9/17 not 9/18 there to avoid the Sunday quiet hour and change things up a bit. This will obviously effect the ECs a bit as setup will need to be done on a Friday.

Hey, I'd like to chair the "First Annual (?) Last Laurinburg Autocross" November 6th. Who likes handbrake turns and 3rd gear turns and wants to co-chair?

I like the naming theme, I think we should definitely revive that naming theme from Rocky Mount after we ended up having like 20 last ever event there, maybe it will work this time as well. Not so sure about your course element suggestions though, the handbrake in my C4 is definitely not something one can use on the fly as it sometimes takes a minute to get it to release and in Bernie's C5 a 3rd gear turn would need to be over 85 mph, I don't think that would be safe.

So, no one wants to join Kevin and I to set up this event? We probably should have done something special like a t-shirt or pint glass commemorate this in case it is the actual final event, too late now though. Either way we need to at least work up a nice dash plaque magnet. Any volunteers to help us out with that? I really suck at that kind of stuff. One idea that has occurred to me "R.I.P. the 'P'", I know we haven't run that configuration in a couple years, but it was what really made Laurinburg special.

when is this event and where. examination will be needed of my tires, and their condition.. my temp job ends this week.. so my new life begins, we will see where i am working at.

Pete, Last event is in Laurenburg on Nov 6th. It is a non points event.

You could probably twist my arm into helping. If Brice doesn't want to or isn't going, I might even be talked into driving the bus.

Actually, Liz isn't going to Europe during that one now, so she's going to be the co-chair. Or the chair, and I'll be the co-chair. Or whatever.

It would be nice to get a couple of additional helpers for setup who could take the bus, though.

I'll send the magnet design asap.

Turns out I'm going to be in Chicago for that weekend, so you'll have to find someone to drive the bus.

in a very small chance.. i may or may not be at laurinburg. we have not worked out the details of what we are driving yet. my wrx and maybe the z3 possibly. we dont know yet. only if i have tires left. :sing:
