Yeah, glad I'm the Secretary. I just report the facts.

However, with Mom's day on the 8th, and Memorial Weekend on the 29th, what was the reason for not trying the 1st? Just asking.

That's a fair question Gwen. I personally could probably get away with 2 autox's in 3 weekends but I'm not sure about most others. So if we had the
novice school and points 2 on 4/16-17 and then #3 on 5/1, I have a feeling we would not get great turn out. As a matter of fact, Triad changed their May event to 5/22 as well I just noticed so that might reduce turn out for 5/22.

Would people not come to an event on Memorial Day weekend?

I'm not sure that 2 events within 3 weekends is such a bad thing. I don't know. Two events in the same area (TSCC and THSCC) on the same weekend will reduce turnout, that's for sure.

For me, Memorial weekend isn't a problem, but then, this IS my hobby. Others might be looking a a 3 day weekend for the lake, beach, or other family outing. That's a tough call.

I was just doing a head count on who we'd potentially lose to Lemons in drivers, crew and wives vs who we'd lose on NCCAR in drivers and instructors
vs how many we might lose having 2 events in 3 weeks. That might be the lesser evil. Again, just a thought.

Just my opinion, but if you have to pick between the two, schedule it the LeMon's weekend. You will lose more people if you do it on the NCCAR weekend.

You and Judi were 2 I was counting that we'd lose either way. Same with Collin and Debbi and Bernie and me.

We still need chairs for event 1,4,7,8. Let us know if you want to chair any of the events in the 1st post that are not already spoken for.

FYI Everyone, the Jimmy V event in July is going to be a 2 day points event. You may run either or both days for points. The course will be the same both days, so if you do both days, you get more looks.

Hrm. Can we reschedule points #3? It conflicts with our wedding.

x2

That's also Lemons Weekend. We'll lose drives and spouses of drivers that weekend. Also anyone who just wants to go watch Lemons.

It's also the SMARTT car weekend up at NCCAR, so a lot of conflicts w/ that date. There's just not a good weekend that month that won't conflict w/ something....

I want to bump this thread. Still need ECs for the last 3 events. Note that 9/18 might be at NCCAR too.

I think Rob and I are up for co-chairing the 9/18 NCCAR event.

If not, I think another co-conspirator and I might give it a try.

I confirmed with Rodney yesterday that we wanted to do this event. Should be a blast and fun to try something new
