I'll bring the Altima to the first points event this year, so you'll have an opportunity to beat me in raw time. With that out of your system, you can go ahead and run your R comps in open class for the rest of the season!

It's best not to think about the cost, but focus on the fun. (That said, I'm looking for sources of "lightly used" A6s or R6s for when my current A6s are done.)

Holy cow! That's a big difference. I just looked it up for my car, and you're right. I don't think it used to be such a wide spread, at least, not in the sizes I run on.

I still don't see myself hitting the reset button on 4 years of setup for Hoosiers though. Besides. We've got like a dozen of the things, some of which have never been mounted. :D

It all depends on the sizes you're buying. For my car I run the 295/30/18 A6. The V710 only comes in a 285/30/18, but there is an A6 in that size too. A6 is $312 each, V710 is $320 each. My 295 is $338 each.

I'm glad we stopped running the C6, for the fronts are now $348 and the rears are $409 each. - AB

Thanks -- Mike W sent me that URL the other day. Have you ordered anything from them?

I also found this posting on BMW forum: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/showth ... p?t=511833

Is Bob Chick still in business? (See the RC Enterprises sponsor entry on http://thscc.com/general/info/sponsors.html )

I have not ordered from JohnBTires, remember I am street tired douchebag.

I talked to Bob Chick a few years ago and was very helpful in finding tires but its been awhile.

How do the Kumho V700 and Victoracer compare to v710. It might be 90 days before they have v710s in stock in 245/40/17 :(.

Better off running Star Specs as the grip will be similar and the cost will be less.

It's not because Kumhos are cheaper that they are out of stock, it's because Kumho sucks at getting stock from Korea. - AB

So I guess the next question is how many runs can I expect to get out of a set of those 75% A6s on johnbtires.com? :)

If you flip them and run proper pressures I would expect about 30-40 runs. If I remember correctly the people I knew running 245's on the 06 WRX got about 70 runs from new if they were good at flipping them and not plowing with them. This is from the WRX that won the 2007 Prosolo Championship and the D Stock Ladies national championship the same year.

I loved my victoracers. They have decent grip and are very predictable, granted I've never driven the D-specs.

The victos are more expensive than the V710s. you might as well wait for them to come in.

Are you going to run DS the whole year and make most/all the events? If not I'll probably just run X.

Yeah, I'll be there. I might miss a couple of the summer events because I can't stand the heat.

Can Discount Tire procure v710s? They sell Kumho tires.

If they can, I would be very surprised. If the Tire Rack is constrained (Kumhos biggest reseller), then DT will be constrained as well. - AB

Jeb can get v710s no problem.
