Yeah, but you're not that good. :P

I'm excellent in my mind, problem is the computer isn't reporting the correct results...

I'm glad it went smooth and everyone had fun. We just wanted to make a course that flowed and didn't have too long of a launch interval. Although it wasn't a L-burgish 70 second course it still had some fun elements that made you think and look ahead.

Good point James about the irony thingy. That's the first thing I thought of too, but had I dnf'd a run or two for not knowing the line or going right on the optional slalom it would have not been a surprise. :P We didn't do much 'testing', just tweaking on the slow sections- it would have been really bad to have the lane change and box the way they were originally. You'd definitely would have needed your running shoes for cone shaggin' at station 4 & 5.

Rodney Wright is right all right, event chairing is fun and I'd recommend it to anyone that hasn't tried it. I think it's harder agreeing on a theme/name than course design.

BTW, can we have dibs on the first Lauringburg event?

Matt you know I was messing with you and it's not like you aren't at the top in your PAX mobile on events you don't chair :). Are you still considering driving the IS300 in DS next year?

Marcus had do take my joke seriously, so now I need to figure out if I'm going to get some race rubber for next year and make him walk the walk :).

The novice school usually precedes the first Laurinberg event. If you can co-chair with me and Maria (If she wants to) we can make sure the courses are easily linked from day 1 to day 2

No, I wasn't taking it seriously. I was just kidding. :)

You have been setting some competitive times on street tires. I would just stay on street tires.

I know I know :).

Plus my times were fake anyway. I wrote the Westerfield's a check to give me some good times with the only requirement that I accept an embarrassing car descriptor :).

I KNEW IT! grumblegrumblegrumble

Thanks Marcus, Matt and the veeps for a great event. Wish I couldawouldashoulda set better times, but what can you do? Clearly, for me spending money on car parts is not the issue--better driving is...There's always next year!

Thanks from me too for a great course - the definition of short-but-sweet.

Glad I could get a win in before the war starts

Must be my pos computer. In the slalom. I think it was the 5th or 6th cone.

Here is mine:

While I like this point of view, the go pro gets way too noisy above 35/40 mph while on the outside of the car. I think now there is the upside down firmware release, I might put it on my dome light lens inside the car so I can watch my steering input and the course.

So the camera is mounted to your helmet? That's an interesting approach, must be a small camera, is it one of those go-pro units? That setup really shows when/where your looking ahead, or in my case it would be not looking ahead.

Someone had a helmet mounted Go Pro while driving Keith's kart during fun runs. That's the video I want to see.

BTW - Fun course guys! Thanks for a fun day. Just wish I could have beat Charlie and Alan. Nice driving guys!

The video didn't come out. :( It wasn't me but I helped the driver (Christian) copy the video off the gopro. Ended up being a picture of Keith making silly face instead of a video.
