Yes, it's be 3-4 months since I cleaned my wheels, so it was probably a combo of old dust and the fact that the brakes got really hot at that school, but yes, fresh dust can sometime come off with just soapy water.

The biggest problem is letting the brake dust get wet. That makes cleanup a lot more difficult when dealing with dusty performance pads.

Just a heads up you..... If any of you use the quick connect for the porter cable and use the dual side pads that are unique to majestic solutions, you better get by there and pick up a few spares. I was there today and they are changing out from the quick connect to a hook/loop style pad. All of the quick connect pads are on sale and still have a good selection left.

just let'n you know....

Actually, you're not out of luck if you don't get any at MS. Those pads are actually made by 3M. 3M bought a company called Edge, who developed the dual-sided pads with the QR adapter. According to 3M's website, they still exist. Autogeek still lists them.

Willing to order online? If so, the product I always recommend to people who ask me "what wax should I buy" is Werkstat Acrylic Jett Trigger. It's so easy that it feels like cheating. It looks great. And it lasts well too. Many people have bought it on my recommendation, and they've all been thrilled with it.

Anyone want to go in on a group buy of this stuff? Shipping is a killer if your getting 1 bottle, but doesn't seem to go up with additional bottles.

Not too late yet, but I'll probably order today so that I can potentially have the product at the meeting next week. Oddly enough, the shipping seems to get significantly cheaper with an order of 8 bottles, so I think I'll go ahead and order 8 assuming those that just said "I'm in" want a single bottle and I'll keep two for myself.

Okay, Charlie your in, I just placed the order. I ordered and extra bottle in case anyone else wants to get in on the action. I'll bring this stuff to the meeting next week assuming I get it in time, for those that ordered and can make the meeting you can pick it up then, bring cash. Shipping was basically $0.50/bottle but I won't quibble about that, as the group buy saved me some on shipping so an even $15 per bottle is fine I'll eat the rest. I'll make James buy me a beer though. ;-)

Sounds good to me. And maybe after the meeting we can go play some pool too?

sweet. thanks, Les. Just in time as my Griot's spray-on wax was nearly empty.
