It looks like Sunday will be a hot sunny day so bring plenty of fluids and dress for the heat. The building and shelter will give us places to get out of sun.

The on-site diner will be CLOSED Sunday. There should be fast food close by but bring lunch if you want to avoid the drive.

Registration is still open so you can prepay, save a few bucks and avoid standing in the registration line.

I hope to see you there.

Thanks for reminding me to get Laura and myself registered. We'll see everyone there.

Does Mo want to borrow the book I talked to her about at CMP? It is the one that was talked about in class.

Will the on-site cafe be locked/closed, or just not serving food. Just wondering whether there will be a place to cool down and get some AC.

I'd guess its gonna be locked, would you want US hanging in your restaurant unsupervised?

Does this mean there will be no access to any air conditioned area of the building? I sure hope not - to me, AC is the biggest "perk" for this site.

As a backup - are there electrical outlets in the big building that can be used for big fans? I don't have one, but will happily stand in front of any that are brought. (Steve, here's your chance to make up for talking %$#^ to us autocrossers  )

It sounds like the cafe will be unavailable to us. The area with the bathrooms will be open but not sure about the offices with the A/C.

I plan to bring a fan and drop cord just in case we have access to power.

I'll do the same...can we call down there and ask if there is an external power outlet?

Hey guys the rallyx chairs want to know if there is a way we can get the bus dropped off at the four oaks rallyx site? Would save some time/fuel over going all the way to apex.

Thanks.

What are the chances that people will be turned away if more than 12 people show up on Sunday that aren't preregistered? I know in the past we've gone over the 120 limit but I know people who want to come who haven't preregistered so if I tell them that they'll be turned away after 2 hours of driving, they'll get off their ass and prereg :).

Forgive me for asking what must be obvious to others, but why would someone who *knows* today that they're going, NOT pre-register, but choose to;
1. stand in line when they could be walking the course, relaxing, or getting their car ready,
2. make it much easier on the registrar,
3. make it easier on everyone since we have a better idea of how to do run groups when we know ahead of time how many are coming.
4. PAY MORE!
Tell your friends that I said to get off their lazy butts and register. Malia is keeping registration open until tomorrow-just for them!

Greenville is the one site where pit and grid space is tightest - and is the most likely site that we'd ever have to turn somebody away from. Do they really want to chance it?

For all the reasons Gwen mentioned, have them prereg!

I'm just going to tell them when the counter hits 120 they don't get to enter and to just prereg. I'll admit it's ridiculous. The response is "Well I've never had to preregister...I just show up" or "I don't want to prepay just in case something comes up....like a Spice Girls concert or something"....(ok I embellished that quote a bit :) ).

My attitude is that if "something comes up" losing the prereg fee is tiny compared to the gas cost for my tow vehicle that I'll "save" by not going. "Risking" the prereg fee is minor compared to not having to stand in line, inconvenience to the registrars, risking not being allowed in, etc.
