I just remembered I forgot to get a room - where do most people stay in Greenville?

It's been my experience that most folks don't stay over in Greenville. Bernie and I always do, but the hotel we usually stay in has apparently closed. After calling around and being amazed at how impressed Greenville is with their hotel space, ie very high prices, we're staying @ the Wingate on Memorial Drive. Don't have any idea whether it's good or bad. It is close to the site and to restaurants for dinner Saturday night. Hope this helps some.

The times I have stayed, it was at the Jameson Inn.

Charlie and I are also staying at the Wingate - it looks pretty decent.

So I guess we will see you all there!

Cool! Make that THE place to be. Want to go to dinner? We usually feast out at Red Lobster, but would be up for something else if you'd like. They just have good drinks there.

What time will you guys be @ the site? We like to drop the trailer off there in the evening. It's certainly the safest place with the electric chain link fence and all.

I think Chris Suich is driving the bus (it was determined by committee that my legs are too short for the task - hey, I offered!), and my plan is to get there about the same time. Chris, what's your plan? I'm guessing we'll be there at least from 3-6. Then the need for fried shrimp and beer will overtake the need for autocross course perfection.

They are planning to open the gate for us at 2 o'clock.

It would be good to get done as quick as possible as someone from the site will have to stay with us while we are setting up and lock up when we leave.

I hope to get the bus there right around 2pm.

I will plan to get there a little early just in case the bus throws us any little surprises.
I may have to install my generator and window A/C unit to survive the drive in 95 degree heat.

BTW is there hazard pay? Like buy the bus driver a beer.

(add one more MINI butt!)

Expedia had the City Hotel and Bistro for $59. Thought I would give it a try.

Still plan to join us for dinner. Give us a call when you get there.
