I am about to sign up for the annual "Cline has not ax skills" event in Greenville. What class is my track Mini? Nothing is stock, no interior. Also, what are the chances of fun runs? I have several clients who want to ride in my car (yes I know its lame but good for business and the sport)

IIRC, no interior puts you at least into SM, but please double check. The wording in Street Prepared says "no fewer than the standard number of seats" which I interpret to mean 2 front seats and a back seat for a Mini. Could be wrong though--Wiser minds may chime in to confirm

http://www.scca.com/documents/Solo_Rule ... _rules.pdf

Check the allowances for SP, SM, Prepared and Modified (sections 15-18 ) to see where you fall given the degree of car modification that's been done.

He will probably now deduct the cost of the event as a business expense meaning that all us taxpayers are footing the cost of his AX play day.

That looks good, don't see any SMF results in the last two events! If I bring a novice can they run that car in novice?

OK I registered SMF was not an option so I just put in SM, who do I talk to? I really don't car about "winning" just don't want to ruffle any feathers being in the wrong class.

I think you will be the first SMF at THSCC since the class was created. Congrats on being a ground breaker!!!!

And yes, a Novice can run SMF in NOV. Just make sure you guys swap between SMF and NOV so the guys in the bus don't get cranky!!

Well the car should be legal in SM also since that is what Chris Suich and Keith Strassel have been runing for years. SMF is the same ruleset but for front wheel drive.

Stephen - Could you check AXWare and see if it has SMF in there? It could just be a situation where we need to get the webmasters to add it to the registration page.

I would have thought it should fall in a Prepared class. Interesting question.
That's where our track Honda will fall, (F Production on track) should I decide to drive it next year.

.

It is not SM if he doesn't have most of the interior. SM only allows the rear seats to be removed. Keith and Chris have their complete interior if I remember correctly.

If the interior is removed, if the steering wheel is removable, if the windows are removed, or do not have the regulators, it's F Prepared. Since we had looked it up for the Honda, Bernie just checked again to be sure.

You guys are right. I wasn't thinking about it being a fully gutted car.

FP it is Cline. Welcome to the world of the crappy PAX.
