So... my check engine light came on as I was pulling the MR2 onto the trailer, and the motor sounds a little off at mid-to-high RPMs. The blasted piece of junk had to wait until it was too late to look for a ride (or get it fixed) in time for tomorrow. :roll:

Hopefully we'll see y'all at the next one.

Have you pulled the codes?

Well that's rotten luck. Since you have it on the trailer, tow it to the nearest Autozone and have them pull the codes for you. (Free service, last I heard)

The engine light was another bad injector coil (we replaced all four about a month ago; this is the second one that has quit since then). Luckily, it's being replaced under warranty, but I do worry about the remaining two.

sounds like it is time to carry a spare! i used to have to do that with a distributor for my old crx(dang zc motors)

Brice, First your car has to bow up and then you have to get M's permission. Since I started AutoXing in a 30+ year old 280Z, I have a lot of sympathy for people with chronic car problems. I hated missing events. That lead me to buying a new Miata with a warrantee. It's out of warrantee now so I have to line up some favors in case it comes apart. Worst case, I'll have to learn how to drive the MS3.
