I want to give a big note of thanks to a few people who helped make both the novice school and our first event a success.
First - Thanks to mother nature for keeping the rain away until my runs were finished. (I was like the last one done so this isn't as selfish as it sounds

)
Second - Thanks to Maria Winslow and Jason Watts for helping organize the Novice school, contributing ideas and suggestions and making sure that the students had plenty of seat/instructor time, and were first-time event chairs for Sunday and without them the event would not have been a success.
Third - To all the instructors who gave of their time to help teach novice autocrossers better skills and get faster. I think that all but 1 Novice Trophy went to Novice School Grads which attests to the quality of instruction.
Fourth - To Charlie Monroe for helping with the Novice School plans and making sure I didn't get off track with my midnite email ramblings as well as working to make the event run well; and Karl Shultz for his help with set-up, problem solving and suggestions.
FIFTH - and most importantly - To all the students who were open to learning, stayed on time and on task during the event, had fun and learned a bunch. It was great to see the times improve and the skills get better and makes all the work to put this on worth it.
Finally, I want to thank a couple of new members Pedro Cuevas and Nic Cadenas who jumped right in and helped instruct and set up - a big thanks and to Maria Winslow who let me drive her Mini. Damn, I had a blast in that car.
Thanks again to everyone, I had a great time (with the exception of driving the damn bus

) and am looking forward to the next event and hopefully my own car.
