What was the deal for paying for the autox events upfront for the whole year? Does this include 2 days weekends?

I think at the meeting Dustin said it basically works out such that you are getting 1.5 events for free?

Or did I make all this up? Thanks.

The season pass gets you in to the 8 points events, which would normally cost you $160, for (I think) $130. Our registrar can confirm that point. So, you save $30, are auto-magically registered for all the events, and only have to walk by the bus and check your name off the list posted to the side of the bus. If you plan to be there for at least 6 events, this is worth it!

Now that the event calendar is pulling from a database, I thought I'd try making a public calendar from it. I made an iCal version, please try it out and let me (webmaster@thscc.com) know if you have any problems with it. Click on the green ICAL button to access it.

All events: http://thscc.com/general/info/calendar.php
Autocross only: http://thscc.com/autocross/prereg_autox.php
Rallycross only: http://thscc.com/rallycross/prereg_rallyx.php

If there's demand for XML or HTML formats, I can do them later.

Oh, I forgot to mention (in case it needs mentioning) that this iCal will always reflect the current state of events, including date and site changes and cancellations. Usually there are a lot of changes for the first couple months of the season.

Thanks Carl!

For Google Calendar users this is the address to add:
http://www.thscc.com/general/ICAL/

For some reason this imports with a funky title, but it's easy to change

Yes. For the AX-only calendar the URL is http://www.thscc.com/autocross/ICAL/
For the RX-only cal it is http://www.thscc.com/rallycross/ICAL/

What is the funky title? Maybe I'm doing something wrong with the cal creation that I can fix.

I can't get the import to do anything at all. Still poking around with it. Last time I tried, the whole thing locked up altogether.

Thanks guys, that's pretty cool.

edit- would anyone mind if there was a default reminder a few days before the event. A reminder to register and use paypal if you will? Not that I ever forget to do that. :D

I can add an alarm to events if y'all would like. I assume that, once imported, you can change the alarm settings... What should be the default reminder? 1 week? 2 weeks?

On a related note, I created these as all-day events, but a side-effect is that they don't block the time off as busy, making it easier to schedule something else at the same time. Should I give the events start and end times?

I'm seeing a Clip2net error message in place of whatever you're trying to show...

I liked the all day format.

My suggestion on the reminder would be for either ~Weds before an event, so you have 1 day or so before the registration cutoff.

Thanks Carl!

Wow, that *is* funky! Let me check to see if Google Cal expects any extended fields to be set for its use...

As best I can tell that funky string is assigned by Google Cal, and there's nothing I can to do "suggest" my own calendar ID.

Mike, were any of your other calendars added via external URL without that funky name, or were they all originally created in Google Calendar?
