Just wanted to let anyone interested know about my recent experience with Esoteric Details. Karl provided an exterior detail on my 330i last week, including wash, clay bar, polish, wax, trimwork, windows, door jambs, etc. Bottom line is I am extremely impressed with every aspect of the job, including Karl's professionalism, hard work, and extraordinary level of 'anal retentiveness' he put into the job, and, most importantly, the results. My main goal was to get rid of swirl marks throughout the paint from when I purchased the car two years ago. With lots of elbow grease and the right products and techniques, Karl completely eliminated all signs of swirls and got the exterior of the car looking like new - in fact, I'd swear the paint is glossier than new. The car looks amazing - I couldn't be happier. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend Esoteric Details for car detail work, and for those that know how particular I am about my BMW, that's saying a lot. Karl is the man!

That's awesome to hear! Detailing a car is a lost art I'd love to have the patience and skill to learn in the future.

Fixed for truth :)

Seriously though Matt, your cars always look good. Good luck with the sale on the M3 too.

It's highly likely that when I buy the STI I will bring it up to Karl for a good detailing. - AB

Thanks Keith, it really makes me happy to hear how pleased you are. It's such a beautiful color.

A certain amount of the swirl marks on Keith's 330i were the result of someone who had been there before he bought the car. There were "holograms" all over it from improper use of a buffer - especially on the hood, and on the driver side rear half of the car. Detailing is, I'm guessing, a lot like welding. I know how to make two pieces of metal stick together, sure. But I'm certainly not any good at it, and my welds are not very nice to look at. Sort of like that guy before me with his detailing work.
