Kind of backhanded praise but impressive nevertheless.

Just ordered replacement street tires for Mom's MR2 Spyder. Apparently something in the underlying code of their website screwed up the shipping address (Hubcap Heaven) and put my own street address on line one.

The part that actually impressed me was that within five minutes (if that) of my order, my phone rings and it's Tire Rack calling to clear it up. That was pretty cool.

The tires are, of course, headed to Hubcap Heaven in Cary. I see little point in dealing with anyone else in the triangle for tires.

Yes, Diane, I broke tirerack.com. Me and my counterpart on the phone determined that I'd found a defect in their navigation engine.

I've already done so.

After between 8 and 12 page views, it stops working. I click on something, the little internet exploder globe thing spins, and I get nothing. Launch a new IE process and it works fine, but still what a pain. It's why I post here only rarely.

It's not easy being me.

Maybe the SCCA should hire Karl to test their timing equipment.
