I'm sorry to say I going to have to take SAPPS in Gardner off my
list of favorite places to get Alloy Radiators repaired and aluminum
welded.

Apparently the old man retired and the son is running the business.
Prices more than doubled for basic repairs. All I got was a sob
story on how difficult it is to repair my Radiator but they can sell
me a new one for $400. My radiator costs $231 new from Howie.
The Repair? Howie quoted me $50 to replace one of the tanks that cracked.

Same job at Sapps $250 (if they can actually do it, as second attempt
repair attempt failed).

I was talking to Greg Gelston at Carolina Imports
and he experience was the same as mine-broken promises & sob stories.

Radiators aside- I am still going to need a reference on getting
Aluminum welded. Any Recommendations?

Mark,

Have you talked to Chris Schimmel? You know he would do a quality job. The only rub is that you would need to get the radiator cleaned out beforehand so that the weld isn't contaminated from the backside. I think Simple Green and some other alkaline solution would clear things out...

A neighbor had an NPT fitting welded into his AL Honda oil pan by a guy out in Durham. I have his address somewhere.
