How about the Cobra sticker on the bottom of the seat?

I have an email out to Cobra tech support to be certain.

But if it weighs the same as the Cobra, has the same dimensions (waist, shoulders, length, width, height) as the Cobra, Cobra slides and a Cobra stickers, it's a duck.

My guess about this is that Cobra probably sold those "assets" to Konig when FIA yanked the homologation. ;)

I wouldn't doubt that at all. And tuners would eat up the chance to get a ricing [sic] seat in their multicolored, farttipped and unpainted body kit having 1989 Accords. For what I'm doing, it's a perfect fit (literally) -- a more comfortable, nonleather, lighter place to put my bootie in a Miata for chasing cones. If the time trial series implements the FIA 8855 standard, then people should get rid of them. I believe that this seat as well as the Corbeau Forza are still allowed for TT and DE, right?

So, these would be acceptable for our timetrial series, correct?

I really like the one called the Charge, but that blue is hideous. I guess I could get it recovered, but that would pretty close to double the price...

For anyone who wants to see them and test your butt in them, I'll have my car at the meeting tonight.

FWIW,

Hi,

Thank you for your recent e-mail. I'm afraid that we stopped making the
V-Racing Rush seats around 5 years or so ago.

They're installed now, thanks in large part to the brain, welder, drill press and hands of Scott Johnson. They're actually more comfortable than the stock seats, and allow me an extra inch of legroom. I can slide the adjuster back another click, but then that's too far back. I never thought that I would be able to say that before. FWIW, the adapter is 3/16" x 2" hot rolled steel plate from Lowe's bolted to the stock adjusters with 10,9 hardware.

Purple seats  and miatas go together like warm apple pie and vanilla ice cream.
