I have an all-aluminum "racing" radiator for a Miata that has developed a leak. It looks like it is one of the tubes in the core is the culprit (used UV dye to test).

Any recommendations for someone local (Raleigh-Durham) to repair it?

Regards,

They go great work on thin wall alloy.

Thanks, Mark.

I took it to someone in Durham to do a more thorough leak-test and it turned out there were three leaks instead of just the one I saw (the UV actually indicated the others, I just thought it was a drip from filling the radiator) and where they were in the core (deep) he couldn't get to them. I sent it back to the dealer and we are in the process of trying to get the manufacturer to replace it.

They claim that the radiator was damaged due to cooling system electrolysis. Ugh. I'm supposed to add a ground strap to the radiator and/or find out if the chassis has some sort of grounding/electrical issue. I thought Miatas were immune from the Lucas electrical gremlins? <sigh>
